Celebrating the Lords Supper & Services of Wholeness (Healing)

communion tableThe Lord's Supper:  We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord's Supper at least once a month, typically on the first Sunday. Our Presbyterian tradition believes that  the invitation to the Lord's supper is to be extended to all who have been baptized, remembering that access to the Table is not a right conferred upon the worthy, but a privilege given to the undeserving who come in faith, repentance, and love.  Even those who doubt or whose trust is wavering are invited to come to the Table in order to be assured of God's love and grace in Jesus Christ.

In 2008 we will celebrate the Lord's Supper during the Service of Worship on the following dates:

 

Services of Wholeness(Healing):  Approximately 4 times per year our Sunday morning Service of Worship is a Service of Wholeness (Healing).  During these services there are extended times for silent reflection and prayers for wholeness and healing for ourselves, those we love, and all creation.  As a way of enacting our prayers and remembering God's promise and love, we offer anointing with oil for those who desire to receive that sign.
